Order Sync helps online sellers manage their eBay orders. This page explains what information the service holds, why, and how it is removed.
What we hold
- Sign-in details: your username and a securely hashed password. For security we also record the IP address and browser type of each signed-in session.
- eBay connection: when a seller connects an eBay account, we store that account's eBay username and user ID, and the access tokens eBay issues. Tokens are encrypted. We never see or store eBay passwords.
- Order information from eBay: the details of the seller's orders that are needed to process and ship them, including items, prices, order status, and the buyer's eBay username, name, shipping address and phone number.
How we use it
Only to provide the service to the seller who connected the eBay account: showing their orders and helping them fulfil and ship them. We don't sell this information, share it with advertisers, or use it for marketing.
How long we keep it
- Order information is kept while the seller's account is active.
- A seller can disconnect their eBay account at any time.
- When eBay tells us a user has deleted their eBay account, we delete that seller's connection and orders, or, for a buyer, remove their name, address and username from the orders we hold.
Security
The service is only available over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. eBay access tokens are encrypted at rest, and each seller can see only their own stores and orders.
